FOR COLLECTIVES AND GROUPS
The Spreepark Art Space residency programme offers artists a space to explore the connection between art and the surrounding landscape in the context of the Spreepark and artistic research. The unique setting of the former Spreepark amusement park takes centre stage, as it enables the residents to engage intensively with this place of change and transformation and to develop their creative ideas.
INTERNATIONAL RESIDENCY
Interdisciplinary collectives or project-based groups of four people who do not yet live and work in Berlin are invited to apply for a three-month residency at the Eierhäuschen. The residency enables artists to experience and explore the connection between people and nature, art and the environment as well as landscape and architecture. But sustainable hospitality and togetherness are also important to us. The Eierhäuschen, with its location on the edge of the landscape conservation area and directly adjacent to the Spreepark, offers an inspiring space for artistic thought and action. The overarching design of the Spreepark as a new public park invites people to reflect on discipline and experiment.
REGIONAL RESIDENCY
In addition, the regional research residency offers the opportunity to engage intensively with the Spreepark for two years and to organise a creative collaboration with pupils. This research residency is organised in cooperation with the Sophie-Brahe-Gemeinschaftsschule and enables the artists to explore the transformation of the Spreepark, the transition from the past to the future in collaboration with the pupils using various artistic methods.
