In the exhibition “Conversing with Ghosts”, artists are invited to engage with specific moments in the history of the Eierhäuschen: the use of the site as a storage place for props of the GDR television network in the 1960s, as a café (Café der Jugend) set up around 1973 on the occasion of the tenth World Youth Festival in East Berlin, or as the site from which the radio programme “Sieben bis Zehn: Sonntagmorgen in Spreeathen” was broadcast a few times. The artistic interpretations that take up and present these moments in more or less direct form range from textile and film installations to acoustic interventions and radio programmes produced on site.

In autumn, a performative aperitif will interweave memories of witnesses of the times with further associative archive material and set the mood for the programme. Traces of these conversations and the research will be featured in the exhibition.
