Jackie Grassmann

Jackie Grassmann is an artist, writer, and educator. Departing from text and language, her work explores the relationship between fiction, theory, and social reality. Grassmann deals with the so-called post-genius concept of authorship, that understands writing and artistic practice as a polyphonic and dialogical process. Many of her works emerge in close collaboration with other artists and take shape through performance, installation, and printed matter. Most recently, she has presented projects at Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Kunstverein Baden, Kunstverein Rosa Luxemburg, and Cashmere Radio.
