Transient Ecologies

Picnic Intervention by HakkaMoon

8 and 9 June 2024, outdoor location in Spreepark

When was the last time you thought about the soil and how it effortlessly produces life? The intervention Transient Ecologies explores the ecological relationships between landscape, flora and humans.

The performative picnic addresses the potential between the hidden work of the diverse plant world, the temporary ecological state and the cluttered space of the Spreepark due to renovation and construction measures. The Rootless Duckweed and the Bristly Stonewort, endangered species and inhabitants of the Spreepark, are the central protagonists. The audience is invited to coordinate in the space, enjoy delights together and get closer to each other. Transient Ecologies opens a space to consciously participate, to learn from nature and from each other.
