Kinderhook & Caracas
Kinderhook & Caracas is a project space and initiative founded in 2011 by artists Sol Calero and Christopher Kline. It is named after their hometowns of Caracas, Venezuela and Kinderhook, New York respectively.
Their programme focuses on the in-depth production of solo exhibitions and research-based group projects, developing an increasingly immersive approach over the years.
Exploring different models of collaboration ranging from a TV Network to a floating story-telling project on the Landwehr Canal, their latest project was a book compiling the last decade of 83 Berlin-based artists, writers, filmmakers and musicians whose practices have crossed paths through the small room on Kreuzbergstraße and several off-site projects around the city.
