The Archive of Utopian Changes

The Archive of Utopian Changes is a walk-in installation created through a collaboration between students from the Sophie-Brahe-Gemeinschaftsschule art course, led by Nadine Wünsche, and the artist collective wild seed (Sarah Wenzinger and Sarah Afua Asante Ntiamoah). The project was developed as part of the regional residency at Spreepark Art Space.

The installation transforms the residency’s open and participatory process into a walk-in archive. Along a twenty-metre-long textile river, process photographs, objects, shadows, plants, thoughts, drawings, and texts come together. Rather than presenting a finished outcome, the archive gathers questions, encounters, and impulses that emerged between the students, the “outside,” the Art Space, the neighbourhood, and Spreepark.

Inspired by the idea of the counter-archive, the installation invites visitors to immerse themselves in the textile landscape and discover their own perspectives on the “outside” and on utopian change.
