Katja Aßmann, artistic director and curator of the exhibition A Matter of Material, and the artist Stefan Shankland, will give an insight into the process of collaboration, from their first encounter at Spreepark to the finished exhibition. How does an artistic memory and a working cycle lead from artistic research to a permanent work of art that is embedded in a park landscape? And how can several tonnes of waste material be exhibited?
