Akademie der Künste

The Akademie der Künste  (Academy of Arts), founded in 1696, is an international community of artists. It has over 400 members working in the fields of visual arts, architecture, music, literature, performing arts, film and media art. Its archive is one of the most significant interdisciplinary archives on 20th-century art. The Akademie der Künste is a place where artists come together with those interested in art and culture, and where public debates on art and culture take place. Through exhibitions and events, it presents contemporary artistic perspectives and is dedicated to preserving cultural heritage.

As part of the ‘Metaxy’ exhibition, the Spreepark Art Space and the Akademie der Künste – in collaboration with ARCH+ – are organising a ‘micro-residency’ at the Eierhäuschen for the first time in 2026.
