ARCH+ was founded in 1967. Since then, the magazine has been dedicated to critically reflecting on and communicating the social aspirations of architecture and urban development, embedded in broader cultural and political discourses.
In addition, ARCH+ conceives exhibitions, symposia, and discussion events, and initiates large-scale thematic research and projects developed in cooperation with independent curators, experts, and associated cultural institutions.
In 2020 ARCH+ was awarded the Art Prize of the Academy of Arts in the section Building Art. With Open for Maintenance – Wegen Umbau geöffnet, the curatorial team ARCH+ / SUMMACUMFEMMER / BÜRO JULIANE GREB “squats and maintains” the German Pavilion at the Biennale Architettura 2023.
