Maciej Kaufman

Maciej Kaufman is an architect and co-founder (with Marcin Maraszek) of Archigrest, a Warsaw-based studio specialising in architectural design across scales — from private interiors to large urban and landscape projects. The studio seeks unconventional inspiration in the 'ruins of the future': unrealised visions of a better tomorrow, halted construction sites, and abandoned spaces reclaimed by nature. Archigrest’s key projects include the Fourth Nature parks developed with landscape architecture studio topoScape: the Park at the Warsaw Uprising Mound (2024) and Żerański Park (2026), as well as the ongoing adaptation of the historic palace complex in Bieżuń. Maciej provides consultancy for both private and public clients and engages in educational initiatives. He also teaches at the Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology.
