Open Studio with Memoria
Come meet the members of Memoria!
What happens when an amusement park built during the GDR and left to become a lost-place is re-awakened and transformed? What stories and memories are uncovered or left untold? What is real or imagined from those memories? The transformation underway at Spreepark is coloured by its past and now being shaped towards a new future. In the present however, it is a site of becoming and uncertainty.
Within the fenced boundaries of Spreepark, an exhibition of transformation is underway and as artists in residence of Spreepark Art Space, Memoria has privileged access to that which outsiders beyond the fence can only get a glimpse at. During the Open Studio, the artists will present documentation of this Secret Exhibition so that the public can also share in the present moment of Spreepark.
Come meet the members of Memoria who include the researcher and writer Daphne Bakker, storyteller and urban planner Fay Darmawi, and the collective Text Catalogue formed by architects Andrew Darmanin and Ella Fleri Soler, at the upcoming Open Studio to be held in the first floor communal kitchen of the Eierhäuschen.
